What Sets Whit’s Apart?
Whit’s sets itself apart with fresh, daily-made frozen custard. What’s the difference? It’s the egg yolks. They transform the texture into something creamier, richer, and more flavorful than ice cream, which can be a bit fluffy and light. Frozen custard is thicker because it’s stirred slowly, so it doesn’t get as much air mixed in. Plus, a warmer serving temperature makes it taste even better.
The Experience
With my first taste, it was undeniable that it has a much richer, creamy flavor. After having this, I don’t think I can go back to regular ice cream. Their variety of flavors and options were pretty impressive, offering not just classic flavors but also specialty creations like Caramel Apple, Reese’s-packed Cutbait Madness, and Whitsers, which are customizable blends of custard with mix-ins.
Flavor Highlights
During my visit, I tried a number of flavors:
- Hawaiian Lu’au: This gave me vacation vibes with pineapple, coconut, banana, and macadamia nuts.
- Caramel Apple: Warm and gooey, perfect if you love caramel apples.
- Cutbait Madness Whitser: This was easily my favorite with its blend of Reese’s cup, peanut butter, and chocolate. Each spoonful was filled with goodies!
- Mint Chocolate Chip: Refreshing and delicious, it balanced cool mint with crunchy chocolate chips perfectly. Mint Chocolate Chip is also one of my favorite flavors!
