After trying the mini donuts and ice cream at Milkshake Momma just a few weeks ago, I knew I had to come back. This time, I was on a mission to finally take down one of their famous, over-the-top milkshakes.
Trust me, picking just one isn’t easy. Their menu reads like a wild rodeo, with names like Show Pony, Dirty Cowboy, and The Hoochie Coochie. But if you know me, you know I have a soft spot for pecans.
So, there was really only one choice: The Range.
The Pecan Lover’s Dream
This thing is a beast. It starts with a pecan ice cream base poured into their signature souvenir glass. The rim is slathered in chocolate spread and then rolled in crushed nuts to create a nutty halo around the top.
Then comes the real showstopper: a mountain of whipped cream, more pecans, a literal mini pecan pie, a pecan roll, and even more pecans for good measure. It is a dessert, a milkshake, and a sugar-fueled sculpture all in one.
We ordered the medium—aka “Rodeo Sized”—and even that was easily big enough to share. I can’t imagine how massive the “Brahma Size” must be.
Built Like a Tank
Here is the impressive part: The Range wasn’t just sweet; it was sturdy. Nothing slid off or toppled over. Aside from a little whipped cream trying to escape, the entire shake held together perfectly.
It is a pecan-packed powerhouse. If you love rich, indulgent desserts, you will probably find yourself scraping the glass clean.

Bonus points: You get to keep the glass. So not only do you walk away full, but you also leave with a pretty solid souvenir.
Whether you are planning a fun date night or just want a dessert you can’t get anywhere else in Columbus, this shake is a must-try. Just maybe skip dinner beforehand.
