October is here, and that means @glizzyfestga is around the corner. Since I’m sponsoring the hot dog joints, I’m back featuring another vendor, this time, The Original Hot Dog Factory! @originalhotdogfactoryofcols.
A New Take on Classic Hot Dogs
When most of us think about hot dogs, we probably envision a dawg in a bun topped with some ketchup, mustard, or chili. But hot dogs have evolved from their humble beginnings. The Original Hot Dog Factory is leading the way with some incredible and delicious takes on hot dogs!
The Original Hot Dog Factory
Located inside Banks Food Hall, The Original Hot Dog Factory started in ATL in 2010 and has since grown to multiple locations, including New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, and now Columbus. Their menu features over 20 different variations, ensuring there’s something for everyone, including vegan options!
Tasting the Best
It wasn’t easy to decide, but Ross (@franks_alley) and I settled on their Chicago Dog, Jerk Chicken Dog, Fire Dog, LA Dog, and their vegan dog. And, of course, we couldn’t leave without trying their loaded fries!
Jamaican Jerk Chicken Dog: This was easily my favorite! It came with a jerk-seasoned chicken hot dog, topped with chopped onions, sweet grilled pineapples, and a sweet island sauce.
Chicago Dog: A beef dog with tomatoes, pickles, relish, onions, mustard, sport peppers, and celery salt. The texture and flavors of this dog are outstanding.
Fire Dog: For those who love heat, the Fire Dog features Arizona heat hot sauce, jalapeño peppers, sport peppers, and flamin’ hot Cheetos! The crunch from the Cheetos is a delightful touch.
Loaded Fries: These were delicious, featuring chili cheese fries loaded with shredded bacon, diced hot dogs, jalapeños, and green onions with their Try Me sauce. Perfect for sharing between two people.
LA Dog: This dog had French fries, chili, a hot dog wrapped in bacon, and onions. A unique and hearty option!
A Unique Hot Dog Experience
As you can see, these aren’t your normal hot dogs. Each one is unique and caters to different tastes and flavors! And they’ll be bringing their awesome creations to GlizzyFest on October 21st.
