The support, the patience, and the kindness you’ve shown me over these past few months have meant more than I can say. Losing my dad was the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through. It hit me in ways I didn’t expect — including creatively. For a while, the words just weren’t coming. I needed time, and I took it.
But something shifted recently. After some rest, reflection, and a lot of comfort food, I realized the best way to find myself again was to get back to doing what I love — sharing great food with all of you.

Wicked Hen’s Shrimp & Grits might just be one of the most satisfying, soulful dishes I’ve had in a while.
Picture this: jumbo shrimp cooked just right, nestled into a warm bed of creamy cheddar grits. Add in spicy andouille sausage, grilled corn, sautéed bell peppers and onions, and then top it all off with a smooth but bold creole cream sauce that ties the whole thing together.
It’s spicy, rich, comforting — and most importantly, balanced. Every bite hits you with flavor and texture, from the snap of the sausage to the sweetness of the corn. And the portion? Generous. No skimping on the shrimp here.
The presentation was on point, too. It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause before diving in — not because you’re hesitant, but because it just looks that good.
Why Wicked Hen Feels Like a Favorite
Wicked Hen has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Columbus for a relaxed lunch or a laid-back dinner. Their food has personality, the menu rotates enough to keep it fresh, and the whole space feels like a place you can settle into.
If you go, try to grab a seat on their outdoor balcony. It’s peaceful, great for people-watching, and pairs perfectly with a good cocktail and a plate like this one.
