So this past weekend I was in the mood for a sandwich so I decided to check out the new limited release BBQ Cuban Sub from
Firehouse tends to be my go-to for subs. So whenever I see they have a limited or new release I like to give them a try.
And for the most part, Firehouse usually hits home runs for me, although a few of their limited releases in the past were just so so, but that isn’t the case here with this new one!
This BBQ Cuban Sub made my stomach happy. I love a good Cuban Sandwich & this sub definitely adds its own unique southern inspired twist to it.

This specific sub has slow smoked pulled pork, freshly sliced Virginia honey ham, melted Swiss cheese, sweet & smoky chipotle slaw, spicy pickle chips, mayo, & sweet mustard BBQ sauce on a toasted sub roll.
Btw, you won’t see any mayo in the pictures as I don’t like mayo. I know, I know, I’m weird like that lol.
The combination of the sweet & smoky chipotle slaw with the spicy pickle chips really pairs well with the ham & pulled pork. Overall, every item on this sub works with the others to create a well crafted sub.
Now, I did make one mistake when I ordered the sub I didn’t get the biggest size! I knew I should have but I opted for the smaller size.
Overall, I really enjoyed this sub & I hope Firehouse Subs sees this because I personally want this sub on their main menu. Who do I have to bribe to make this happen 😈 💵

Anyhow, if you get the chance to try this, please remember it’s a limited release & make sure to take a photo & tag me in it.
And in comments below let me know what your favorite firehouse sub is!
Fun fact: Did you know that even though Firehouse Subs is a chain, all of the Columbus locations are locally owned by a husband & wife duo? I didn’t either until recently. Just thought I would share that lol
